Sobre los actores de Cyrano:

Hace varios años, en el estreno de una película nacional, se acercó un actor joven al director Alberto Arvelo y le dio un VHS que incluía un breve demo de su trabajo. Su actitud y su pasión le parecieron limpias y correctas al director, así que decidió observar la cinta. El demo de aquel actor desconocido lo impresionó. Su nombre: Edgar Ramírez. Pocos años después, justo antes de su primer rol en Los Ángeles, le ofreció el rol de Cyrano sin hacerle un casting. Actualmente Edgar Ramirez a participado en películas como: The Bourne Ultimatum, Domino, Unauthorized Clifford and Vantage Point.

Roxana, la protagonista femenina de Cyrano, tenía que ser una mujer por la que se pudiera matar. Jessica Grau , nacida en un barrio del litoral, nos ofreció algo ciertamente mortal. El casting no fue fácil pues la inexperiencia de Jessica nos asustaba y nos tentaba a la vez. Al fin, luego de varias audiciones, Jessica regresó y nos sorprendió a todos. Cuando la llamamos para decirle que el rol era de ella colgó el teléfono sin poder decir una palabra.

El personaje de Cristián, interpretado por Pastor Oviedo, fue un rol verdaderamente complicado de decidir. Acudieron muchos talentosos actores pero ninguno daba la candidez y la fuerza necesaria para encarnar es personaje. Pastor Oviedo fue uno de los últimos que entrevistamos. Antes de salir del teatro donde lo adicionamos, aunque él no lo supiera, ya nos había convencido a todos.

On the actors of Cyrano:

Several years ago, during the premiere of a local film, a young actor approached director Alberto Arvelo, and gave him a VHS tape with a brief demo of his work. The attitude and passion of the unknown actor seemed to come from the right place so the director decided to give it a look. He was very impressed with what he saw. The actor's name: Edgar Ramirez. A few years later, just before he received a second offer for his first role in Los Angels, Alberto Arvelo offered him Cyrano's roll without even holding a casting. Today Edgar Ramirez has participated in movies such as: The Bourne Ultimatum, Domino, Unauthorized Clifford and Vantage Point.

Roxana, the female lead character of Cyrano, had to be a woman for whom you would kill for. Jessika Grau, born in coastal slum, offered something potentially mortal. Casting her was not simple because Jessika's inexperience was scary but tempting at the same time. Finally, after several auditions, Jessica surprised them all. When she learned that she had won the role she just hung up the telephone without being able to mutter a single word.
The role of Cristian, interpreted by Pastor Oviedo, was truly a complicated role to cast. Many talented actors auditioned but no one had the necessary mix of strength and openness to incarnate the character. Pastor Oviedo, one of the last to audition, came in, and before he had exited the stage, had already convinced them all.
